As 2017 approaches, I am raising S$40,000 for 40 charities by the time I turn 40 next year. Yes, 40k for 40 by 40!
The charities were shortlisted following discussions with my family and friends, and they represent a diversity of good intentions.
While most of these charities are Singapore-based, several of them do work overseas. Donors to them may also enjoy some tax benefits in Singapore.
I kick started this initiative by donating S$4,000 of my own funds to them. Some friends have already made private pledges to either donate S$4,000, S$400 or S$40.
Start the new year wonderfully, wish me luck, participate if you can and let's make this happen!
